New Building
Athy College opened its doors on the new campus on the Monasterevin Road in March 2010. Formerly the Kildare VEC school was located on the Carlow Road but following a ten year campaign the new premises became a reality.
Simultaneous to our occupation of the new building the Church of Ireland Model primary school was burnt to the ground and we were glad to be in a position to accomodate them until their new school was available.

Originally sanctioned by the Department of Education in 1999 construction repeatedly was delayed and in frustration some attempts were made to highlight the plight including holding classes on the proposed site
