As we come near to the end of another school year can I say a very special thank you to parents, students and staff for incredible support over the past 12 months.
With your support we have taken every precaution to prevent having to lose class time because of Covid and so far it has been very successful.
Even during lockdown we were able to provide Chromebooks for those who were not in a position to purchase them and full day classes continued on line.
From the scary moments of becoming frontline workers facing a class full of students to the additional workload of generating accredited grades for Leaving Certificate students our staff have been amazing. Right to the end of the school year classes have been delivered and all other supports continued.
Thank you to the students who adapted, faced the challenge with good spirits and despite the fears and worries got on with the job. Your courage will stand to you in the future.
We still have a lot of work to do and the Leaving Certificate students will need your support in the weeks and days ahead as they face examinations and the uncertain landscape ahead. They are brilliant and their light will shine.
The final push is to keep the virus at bay for the next few weeks. Sickness or a Covid outbreak could prevent them from sitting exams so we ALL have to do everything to keep them safe. Don’t stop now as we approach the finish line.
