Large Employment Growth at Athy College

Athy College is proud to announce that in response to the growth of student numbers it has created several new employment positions .  Over the past 18 months it has employed an additional 9 staff plus one replacement post.  With current trends a further  three to four teaching positions are expected before next September.  This will represent over a dozen jobs created over a two year period.
The current new building on the Monasterevin road will have become too small in twelve months time and will require additional building - not bad inside a four year period.
Kildare VEC recently amalgamated with Wicklow VEC to create KWETB (Kildare Wicklow Education Training Board) with a total of 21 schools and almost 12, 000 students and is going from strength to strength
